Host Family Application Process

  • We will schedule an orientation to give you more details about our program and allow you a time to ask questions.

     If you wish to proceed:

  • We will send you an application which asks a bit about your background and your Christian faith.
  • We will send you a copy of our Guidelines for Host Family Living. This is sample of house rules that we expect a girl to follow. We expect each host family to personalize these guidelines to fit the needs of their family.
  • We will send you a copy of the Host Family contract we ask the girl and the family to sign. This contract isn't signed until you are matched with a girl who will be moving into your home. This contract includes the date that you agree for her to come to your home and the date that you expect her to vacate your home.
  • We will check two references. We have a form that you will send to each of your references. They will return the completed forms to APO.
  • By law we must send off a background check on each family member over the age of 18.
  • Each family member must have TB skin test or proof of a negative test within the last 2 years.
