Melany Wolfe

I am so thankful for the opportunity to work at APO.  I am happy that I can work in an environment where we can provide help and guidance for young women experiencing unplanned pregnancies.

I am married to a great guy and we have four awesome kids.  We have three daughters and one son.  They are such a blessing to me and I am so grateful to be their mom.  The emotions of parenting, whether love or joy, sorrow or disappointment, leave me severely exposed and that can sometimes be overwhelming.  I had never experienced such delight or even pain before becoming a parent.  I have had to learn to trust God wholeheartedly for my children's protection and their futures.

I love great books, delicious food, and wonderful friends.  I am the cheer coach at Brazos Christian School and love the relationships I have developed with the high school girls.  My family attends Grace Bible Church and we enjoy worshiping and building relationships with the college students that God puts in our lives.

I have a Bachelors of Social Work degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.  I worked as a social worker in the medical field for ten years.  I also worked as a small business owner for five years before our son was born.  I first became involved with APO by writing home studies for prospective families.  This was the beginning of my love for open adoption and this organization.

I am excited to be working with Aggieland Pregnancy Outreach.  I realized that God gave me a heart for adoption at a really young age.  Although I knew his plans for my life included adoption, I never know what an exciting journey it would turn out to be.  I have had the wonderful blessing of working with APO during the adoption of our son and that has changed my life in the most amazing way.  Adopting our son has given me a much better understanding of Christ's love for me and how as believers, we are all adopted into God's eternal family.

I am proud to be a part of an organization that has a heart for children and offers hope to young women.  I hope to educate the community on the different services that APO offers to young women, as well as the love and support they will receive from this organization.
