Aggieland Pregnancy Outreach is committed to placing children in the most loving and stable environment possible. As a Christian ministry, we also desire to point children to Jesus Christ. Our primary eligibility requirements are the first step in our screening process for prospective parents. The adoptive couple must:
- Be married for at least three years.
- Each be professing Christians and members of the same Bible-believing church who share the same basic doctrinal beliefs as APO as outlined in our statement of faith.
- Commit that one parent will be a “stay at home” parent (working no more than 20 hours per week outside of the home).
We invite you to read through the full details of our eligibility requirements, which can be found online in our Adoption Information Packet.
Before acceptance into APO’s program, each family undergoes extensive screening to include: FBI background checks, financial stability, health screening, motivations to adopt, reference checks, etc. They also attend many hours of adoption and parenting education.
Adoptive couples learn a great deal about APO before they submit an application. They first attend an Informational Meeting followed by a two-day Adoption Education Seminar. Families who are interested in learning more about the adoption process through Aggieland Pregnancy Outreach should visit this page.
If both husband and wife feel they meet our eligibility requirements after reading the entire Adoption Information Packet, we invite you to complete the online “Fact Sheet” using the link at the end of the packet. As the name implies, the “Fact Sheet” provides us with some basic information about you, so we may contact you about the date of our next Adoption Information meeting. These meetings generally occur quarterly and are required for intake into our program. We look forward to working with you on your journey of adoption!
